What customers say?

“ Frequently on morning trips to Maleny we’ve noticed that Frank Food & Wine has been very busy and decided to find out why today. We ordered our meals and coffee and while we waited, we spoke with the other locals enjoying a break with their family and pets. It took a little longer than expected (in fairness they were very busy and we were forewarned) but the food was worth the wait. Where possible, they use local produce (eggs, butter and jam in our case). Staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re visiting Maleny and feeling a little hungry, I recommend considering Frank Food & Wine. We’ll certainly be back. ”

“ I love absolutely love frank. I cannot telll you how much i love it. amazing food, amazing staff, gorgeous coffee (and that veg lasagna!). my partner and i love sitting there with a coffee or wine and watching the world go by. i must say, i do miss the night offering - we went there on valentines for dinner in 2024 and it was immaculate. it will forever be my go to on the coast. ”

“ Had a beautiful salad lunch and coffee today. Staff were very accommodating and food and drinks were perfect Whilst enjoying my salad it occurred to me to take a photo and share this fabulous cafe! Sorry for the half eaten pic. Was delish. Would recommended ”

“ Delicious food, especially the French toast! There were plenty of options for people with dietary requirements. The food came out quickly, staff were really friendly and the location is great. It's right on the main road and has lots of shade if you're sitting outside. ”

“ This café has that classic touristy vibe – you can tell it’s designed to catch the weekend crowd exploring the area. While the prices and service reflect the busy, high-traffic location, the setting itself is genuinely lovely. The building has charm, with character-filled architecture that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Inside, it’s stylish and well-maintained, and the fact that it’s got its own restroom facilities is a definite plus, especially if you’re out and about for the day. There is a weekend surcharge, which isn’t uncommon in popular tourist spots, but something to keep in mind if you’re watching your budget. While it didn’t blow me away just yet, there’s potential here. With such a beautiful space, it feels like a spot that could really shine with a bit more consistency in service. For now, it’s a convenient option if you’re in the area and want to relax in a scenic café setting – and definitely one to keep an eye on as it grows into its space. ”

“ We were visiting the hinterland for lunch & happened upon this place. It was doing a good trade, so you might have to wait for a table, but the turnover was fairly quick. Ordering is at the counter. I enjoyed my mushrooms with goat's cheese with a side of salad. My brother's cheeseburger was a bit sloppy & he said the patty didn't seem to be bonded together. My partner thought his Italian Benedict was an interesting twist with prosciutto & a shredded potato hash. We had 3 drinks & the bill was $103. It was a pleasant enough meal. ”

“ tl, dr.: Great food, average cocktails We've been here in its prev iteration as Shotgun Espresso, and the menu hasn't changed all that much. The restaurant is still lovely, with art on the walls, but the acoustics are very loud. The food is excellent though, offerings ranging from the usual cafe style food, to Asian slant dishes. The chilli scrambled eggs and the poached chicken broth is especially excellent. The bloody Mary though was a blended concoction that was a bit meh, but they serve much better Campos coffee. The tea appears to be a popular option; we saw a lot of people with cast iron pots of tea. ”

“ We will be back! Heavenly breakfast- wide range of flavourful, unique and well-executed breakfast and brunch options. I went for the chilli eggs, very well done. Not the crummy chilli jam variety you get at some places. My wife, the Turkish eggs in the photo. Superb! I had food envy. We also enjoyed juice #3 and coffees, which very also very good. 5/5 for me! ”
